Lingo in a Nutshell and Director in a Nutshell

Under Construction

I'm sorry but some of the materials cited in Lingo in a Nutshell and Director in a Nutshell are not yet posted. Rest assured that I am aware of the deficiencies on my site and frankly it pains me that I haven't been able to post everything I had promised.

I am extremely busy with a large number of other projects that put food on the table and allow me the luxury of writing books (which is a financially thankless job, truth be told). I am constantly trying to balance the demands of and promises I've made to my readers, my clients, and my family. In the crazy world of multimedia, it is hard to keep life in perspective, which I am trying my best to do, and I appreciate your patience in the matter.

I am also devoting a considerable amount to implementing software that will eventually facilitate the creation of a Director KnowledgeBase, which will be of infinitely greater benefit in the long run than the tech notes that I can write myself.

Please do check out some of the recent additions to the site at the following links:

If you would like to be notified when the material is available, please send e-mail to web update@zeusprod.com. Please do not bother writing to O'Reilly regarding the missing material. They are not responsible for the URLs on my site and won't be able to help you.

In the meantime, consider searching Macromedia's tech notes at:

For those waiting for a D7 update to LiaN, no plans have been finalized about it. Check out Driector in a Nutshell which covers some of the dot syntax, and see the article on Dot Syntax at:

Or search the resources listed on my Links page.

Thank you for your patience.
